BRUTAL AND BRILLIANT WARDRAMA!

Come with Captain Miller and his men in the pursuit of Private Ryan behind the german lines of France. This is showing what the war must have been like for the thousands of young men on D-day. The opening of this film beats every scene of war you`ve ever seen before. Through the eye of a steady cam, Steven Spielberg puts you right beside the men on Omaha Beach. You`ll watch wave after wave of soldiers beeing gunned down and blown to pieces by the Germans. The use of steadycam, makes it very realistic. You`ll sense everything, from the terrible fear of the soldiers, to every piece of sand that gets blown up in the air mixed with blood. I could go on and on about the first 30 minutes, but the film is longer than that, so lets move on. Anyway, the battle at Omaha Beach is bound to make a strong impression on you. Cap. John Miller and seven other survivors receive an order to try and find a certain Private Ryan. Not crazy about the mission they start their quest not knowing if he is still alive?, or where he might be. Very strong acting by all actors and razorsharp images on the screen, mixed with one of the best sound i`ve ever heard, makes Saving Private Ryan an unforgettable experience. This sure must be the most realistic warmovie ever. Personally i`m not putting this movie in the same category as "Das Boot" and "Schindlers List", because they deal with different events. No matter if you like warmovies or not, this is not like an ordinary warmovie, and i think that everybody needs to see this movie, so you`ll know what war is really like. A strong anti warmovie i will call it. The Disc also have some extras, so right to the top with this one 6.
