THIS PLACE IS LIKE GONE WITH THE WIND ON MESCALIN
M.I.T.G.O.G.A.E is a slow comfortable movie which spins around a murder case in Savannah. Savannah is a place where everything goes on in slow motion, and oddity is concidered to be normal. The story is beeing told through John Kelso (John Cusack )who`s character is an observer. He is a journalist who is sent to cover the famous christmas parties of Jim Williams ( Kevin Spacey ). He is a newly rich man with great taste of style. In Savannah people are walking invisible dogs and flies are tied to a thin line. John Kelso is fascinated by the town and the inhabitants and decides to stay. As he says to his agent on the phone: "This place is like Gone With The Wind on mescalin." All characters in this movie is portrayed masterly by great actors, so if you feel for a kind of slow, comfortable and yet interessting movie, I recommend this one. I give it a 5.
