Review 1 - 9/3-2000

I was Fredo? No, I don`t think so.

Analyze this is one of the best comedy`s I`ve seen in a long time. Robert DeNiro is great as the mob-boss who has trouble with his feelings. Billy Crystal is a familyterapist who is picked to become DeNiro`s psychiatrist.
He isn`t excactly crazy about the idea, but he realise that he hasn`t really got a choice in the matter. DeNiro never delievers a bad performance in a movie, and Crystal is also great. This movie makes real fun of the mafia,
but the humour is more wise than for example Leslie Nielsen`s movies. What really makes this movie great, is the acting by DeNiro, Crystal and the gorilla Jelly played by Joe Viterelly. Jelly is great, and makes a lot of laughs with his tough but not too bright behaviour. Too bad comedy`s seldom gets nominated for the Oscar`s, because the performances from Robert DeNiro and Joe Viterelly really deserves it. This is a great film, and it is filled with exstra`s. The picture and sound is excellent, so go get it. It helps if you have seen The Godfather and other mafiamovies, but it really stands out
even if you haven`t. I give Analyze This a 5 on the 1-6 scale.

Analyze This

Mob boss Robert deNiro aren't feeling too good, so he decides to get help from a therapist (Crystal). He isn't very keen on the job but decides that it's an offer he can't refuse. The mob and the police take great interest in their relationship and try to use it for thir own good. It's basically a one joke movie, but the talents of Crystal and deNiro makes it enjoyable almost to the end, especially, deNiro who makes fun of much of his backcatalogue. It is standard comedy fare with some laughs and a couple of giggles, but it's a lot better than "Mickey Blue Eyes".
