DAVID VERSUES GOLIAT!
Rocky received 3 academyawards in 1976, and were nominated for several more and it isn`t hard to know why, once you`ve seen it. Sylvester Stallone wrote the script in only 86 hours and received an oscarnomination both for his script and for best actor in a leading role. Rocky is the story of a goodhearted Italian bum who collects money for a loanshark, and fights for peanuts as an amateur.
He suddenly gets a once in a lifetime opportunity for a shot at the greatest title in the world - the Heavy-Weight title in professional boxing.
Sylvester Stallone delievers his best performance ever as Rocky Balboa who you can`t help liking.
Burt Young, Talia Shire and Burgess Meredith also delievers great acting. ( Burgess received an oscar for best supporting actor )Rocky is a classic. Great movie, great story, great cast and a great experience. If you haven`t seen this movie, what are you waiting for? Once you`ve seen it, you have to either humb or whistle the soundtrack. Go for it ROCK!!!! This is a 6.
