Thank you very much!

Andy, Latka and Tony Clifton. Three ingredienses to guarantee laughter. Add Jim Carrey and you got the fourth. Man on the Moon is not an entirely comedy, as it tells the story of the late Andy Kaufman. I had never heard of Andy Kaufman before, but I totally enjoyed this movie anyway. In fact it increased my appetite for more of the real Andy. Andy must have been one of the most exentric persons ever. You never knew what he would do next either on or off stage. Together with his friend and partner Bob they did all sort of practical jokes constantly. They had the same type of humor, and nobody
else shared it. Jim Carrey is fenomenal as Andy Kaufman. He should have received an oscarnomination for best actor. All actors involved are solid. One of the most hilarious moments in the film, is the introduction of his alter ego Tony Clifton. WOW! What a guy. He had me shaking with laughter. This must be the coolest guy on the planet. Weeks after I saw the movie I was going around talking like Tony Clifton. - Yeah, Yeah, Yeah. You got to hear him sing. This guy is unbelieavable. Man on the Moon is in my opinion one of the best movies of 1999, and each new film with Jim Carrey he surprise me with his acting. Jim Carrey is going to win an oscar, he can play anything. This is a movie to watch over and over again, and particularly the scenes with Tony Clifton. The dvd has great extrafeatures and even real footage of the real Andy. That is great. The anamorphic transfer is very good, and the audio is ok. This is not the type of film to show off your stereosystem with, but the sound fills the room in some scenes - the wrestlingscenes for instant. I have to recommend this to everyone, and thrust me you will go around talking like Tony Clifton. Man on the Moon deserves top score. 6.
