Review 1 - 19/1-00 (Criterion Version)

HE`S NOT THE MESSIAH, HE`S A VERY NAUGHTY BOY!

I have always loved Monthy Python and their brilliant humour. From their Flying Circus television series, to their genious biblical tale of Brian who was born next door to Jesus at the same time. I concider "Life of Brian" to be The Python`s masterpiece, just a tiny bit better than "The Holy Grail". I also concider Life of Brian to be the best and funniest comedy of all time, and was glas when i could replace my worn out VHS-copy with this great DVD from Criterion. This DVD have two great commentaries by The Python`s apart from Graham Chapman who tragically died from cancer in 1989. A great loss in the world of comedy. You get a documentary filmed on location in Tunis during the making of Life of Brian, 5 rarely seen deleted scenes( which are all great, especially the first one ) with and without commentary, the Trailer and four British radio-ads which are also funny. Life of Brian has never looked and sounded better than this. The two commentary tracks are devided into chapters, and that is the first time I`ve seen on a DVD. I never get tired of watching this film, and I will never stop laughing of it. Enjoy the best comedy of all time digitally and remember to:"Always look on the bright side of life!" Top score - 6.
