Review 1 - 30/11-99

This is Arnold`s best movie. The Last Action Hero is a parody of all of his movies together with a few other ones. This movie is funny and very entertaining. I`m not a fan of Arnold, but seeing him make fun of his typical actionroles is very fun. For once he fits perfectly in a role. Check out the details in the background, and you will find many surprises. When they enter the policestation for example, you will see Sharon Stones character from Basic Instict lighting up a sigarette, and at the same time the bad guy from Terminator 2 comes out the door. The story is about a boy who is the greatest Jack Slater ( Arnold )fan. He is about to see a sneakpreview at midnight for the new Jack Slater movie. The old man who work at the theater gives him a magic ticket that Houdini once gave him. This ticket brings the boy into the movie. Here you are in for outstanding action and funny moments throughout the film. The villain gets his hands on the ticket, and leaves the movie for the real world. I`m not going to reveil more of the story. If you haven`t seen this movie and love action, what are you waiting for? The Last Action Hero is even better than True Lies. Outstanding picturequality and state of the art sound makes it a tremendous experiance to watch. Mind the neighbours, because this soundtrack kicks ass. The disc also contains the trailer and a 5 minute making of featurette, as well as the standard cast and crew biographies. The making of should have lasted longer, and it would be very fun with a commentarytrack, but the movie is highly recommended. A 6, for Arnold`s best movie.ĻIN THIS WORLD, THE BAD GUYS CAN WIN!
